Description
The organization implemented the Human Capacity Development Program – Kurdistan Region, a specialized institutional capacity-building initiative aimed at strengthening the professional and managerial competencies of staff working in both governmental institutions and civil society organizations across the region.
The program aimed to enhance participants’ professional and administrative skills through a comprehensive package of specialized training courses, including:
Activities/ Training:
- Supply Chain: 12 days training – 4 days per governorate: November 2018 – 44 attendees
- Human Resources: 2 days: Dec 2018 – 23 attendees
- Finance: 2 days: Dec 2018 – 23 attendees
- Monitoring & Evaluation: 2 days: Dec 2018 – 20 attendees
- Project Cycle: 2 days – 27 attendees
- Program Management: 2 days – 27 attendees
The program adopted a professional training methodology based on needs assessment, curriculum design, interactive delivery, and continuous evaluation to ensure practical and applicable results within participating institutions. Gender equality was integrated as a cross-cutting theme throughout all training activities.
A total of 170 participants from Erbil, Duhok, and Sulaymaniyah governorates benefited from the program. The trainings focused on strengthening practical skills, promoting modern management concepts, and building more efficient and sustainable institutional systems.
The program contributed to enhancing institutional performance, improving planning, implementation, and monitoring practices, and supporting sustainable institutional development across the Kurdistan Region.
